Every miniature wargaming Geek's dream is to visit the United Kingdom. Here one can find a multitude of gaming related destinations plus they have really really great beer too. This being our first overseas tour we have some great promotions planned and fun will be had by all.

Geek Nation Tours is proud to announce that we will be joined by Spenser from 40K Radio. 40K Radio is the preeminent Podcast dedicated to the 40K table top miniature game. The 40K Radio boys discuss all things 40K and a multitude of other topics as well. It boasts listeners from around the world and is of interest to any tabletop Geek no matter what genre you play. If you have yet to listen to the show you really should treat yourself at www.40kradio.com or subscribe on itunes. Although Spencer has suspended boardcasting at this time, itunes still has their past podcasts. Download and enjoy.

Geek Nation Tours is proud to announce that they will be joined by the “Beast of War” crew on the “Geeking Out with Miniatures in the UK” Tour. The crew will be hanging out with Geek Nation Tours (and may even be able to get the odd game in) while the tours visits Nottingham. See the Beasts of War youtube video below.

“Beasts of War” are the leaders in You Tube reviews of all things wargaming. They provide product reviews, modeling advice, rules discussions and much more. They are great guys that are going to prove to be a very entertaining addition to the tour. We are very happy that they will join us for some fun and lively discussion about 40K and gaming in general. You can see them at their channel here.

With that said the tour is for everyone that is interested in miniature wargaming in general. If you are a fan of 40K and want to see many of the wargaming sites in the UK while being surrounded by people of like mind - this is the tour for you. You will meet people that are just as enthusiastic about 40K as you are.

September 23 - Day 1 - Travel from Toronto (leaving at 10:15 pm) to London (arrival 24 September 10:15am).

September 24th - Day 2 - Arrive in London (free day to recover from jet-lag) and transfer by bus to London proper. For those joining us from the UK and Europe this is when the tour would start for you. You can join the tour at the airport or at the hotel. There are a multitude of optional tours available. For instance you could take "The Essential London" tour. Or if you just want to find the sites by yourself you could use one of our London Passes to board the Original London sightseeing tour - which lets you hop on and hop off a double-decker bus as you wish. Email us for information on the variety of tours offered. Alternatively you could just take a trip to the local pub or cafe and relax for the duration of the day. There will be an organized "welcome" dinner at the hotel in the evening (over night in London) – Staying overnight at the Hilton London Metropole

September 25th - Day 3 - It is time to really do some game specific shopping. GNT is organizing several themed group shopping tours. We will have several that will be lead by local guides to various areas of London. For instance if you are interested in games we will have a game store shopping tour, or if you are interested in military history paraphernalia and books - a military shopping tour. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting day. (Transfer after dinner to Birmingham and overnight at the Thistle Birmingham City.)

September 26th - Day 4 - Games Day Birmingham (overnight in Birmingham) - the Thistle Birmingham City.

September 27th - Day 5 - "For the Guardsman in you" - Transfer to and visit Bovington Tank Museum. We will have a great day exploring almost a 100 years of tank history. Enjoy the best exhibition of tanks in the world with almost 200 tanks on display. (transfer late to Bournemouth and overnight – staying at Carrington House Hotel)

September 28th - Day 6 - "For the Knight in you" – Transfer early to Corfe. We will have the whole day to visit the castle and town of Corfe. The castle site dates from 979 with the stone castle being built in the latter half of the 11th century. The town is quite quaint and gives one the feel of "Olde England". What's more we will visit the "Corfe Castle Model Village" which is the reconstruction of the castle and village as it was in 1646 in 1/20th scale. (transfer late to Nottingham staying overnight at Jurys Inn Nottingham)

September 29th - Day 7 - Visit Warhammer World. All tour members will have the opportunity to play two friendly 40K or Fantasy games - during this time there will be organized trips to the Warhammer World Store and guided tours of the Miniatures Hall. The games will be 1500 points and tables and opponents will be decided at random. Lunch will be included as well as the "Wrap-up" Roast Beef Dinner and a visit to Bugman's Bar (overnight in Nottingham at Jurys Inn Nottingham)

September 30th - Day 8 - Transfer to London early and have remaining London Free day. Again various optional tours will be available. Depending on the amount of people that are interested I will be leading a short tour to the Millennium Eye or Buckingham Palace. Please send me your requests and suggestions for this final day and I will be sure to note you on my "One More Kick at the Cat" tour. – Staying overnight at the Hilton London Metropole

The winner is going to be able to bring his miniatures with him to the UK worry free. Battlefoam provides the very best in miniature transport systems. Please take a look at their super cool products at: http://battlefoam.com/index.php

Battlefoam

What's more, on January 30th Romeo from Battlefoam announced that we will draw for an additional 6 of his PACK 432s. Further he added 2 of his new "X-Board Travel Displays". Which will be perfect for not only displaying your army during a tournament but also functions as a miniature carrying tray too.

That is right! All those on the tour will be entered for a draw for 6 (count them) fully loaded Battlefoam carrying cases!

Even better Romeo will be on our tour too. Maybe we can get him to carry those PACKs for us too...?

That is not all!!! On June 30th for a $500.00 GW gift card...

So there you have it. June 30th is a big day for us here at Geek Nation Tours. We will have 6 draws for a Battlefoam 432 pack, 2 draws for a Battlefoam "X-Board", 1 draw for a $500.00 GW gift card.

EVEN MORE? The guys at Wyrd games are sponsoring some Geek Nation Tour down-time with Malifaux games. We will be bringing along 4 Malifaux Guilds, 4 rulebooks and 4 Fate Decks. The games will be there for whomever wants to try out this great miniature skirmish game. Play it on the plane over, on the bus or in the hotel...The miniatures will be fully painted so you will see them in their true glory.

We are working on a draw for these too. So four people will walk away with a Malifaux Guild, a rulebook and a Fate deck at the end of the tour.

Take a look at this great game here:

Malifaux

NOT ENOUGH? Our final "surprise draw" will take place at our tour "welcome dinner" in London, England. We can't tell you exactly what it is but it comes from the UK, has two really big guns, has to do with war, is themed after a hound, and is Titanic!

Those eligible for the 1st draw will also be eligible for the 2nd and 3rd draw. Those eligible for the 2nd draw will be eligible for the 3rd draw. Pre-register now as you can virtually win the cost of your trip back.
